I am the Student President at City of Glasgow College. I am also a member of the Board of Management at the college as well as a three College Committees as well as being Chair of the Glasgow Colleges Regional Student Executive. Previously, I studied Hospitality Management and worked as Vice President of Social & Activities in the College's Students’ Association.
I've worked as The Herald's education correspondent for the past 14 years, covering a range of stories from bogus colleges in Glasgow to the state of the nation's schools and the future of university funding. I previously worked at The Scotsman, covering Scottish politics and home affairs, and at the Press Association.
I'm an experienced tv and radio broadcaster and a former newspaper journalist. I provide specialist coverage of education and local government issues for BBC Scotland's news and current affairs programmes - principally Reporting Scotland on BBC One Scotland and Good Morning Scotland on Radio. I also contribute regularly to BBC News Online.
I came to the UK 15 years ago and, following university in Scotland, worked for the Sunday Times in its Scottish office before starting at Tes in 2011. I have been covering FE since 2012, and am now deputy FE editor, covering further education and skills across the UK.
Appointed to the Board in September 2009 and appointed Chairman in May 2010. Simon is also Chairman of the Nomination Committee and the Management Engagement Committee and chairman of the Investor Forum, an investor led organisation established for the purpose of improving long-term returns from investment through collective shareholder engagement.
Marrack Tonkin is Head of Investment Trusts and a member of the BMO Global Asset Management (EMEA) Group Management team. Marrack has worked in a number of roles within the Group since he joined the firm in 1989 and currently chairs, or is a member of, a number of the Company's operating committees.
Lucy joined BMO’s Client Management team in September 2018 as part of the graduate program. Her first rotation has been within the marketing team, and she will shortly be moving to join one of the sales teams for the next 6 months. Lucy was previously an intern at BMO’s Edinburgh office as part of their Private Equity and Investment Trusts teams, and has prior experience in investment writing and research roles. Lucy joined us from Newcastle University, where she studied Psychology.
